The Children’s hospital in Lahore was built in the year 1995. The hospital was the largest serving public institution that has assisted in taking care of the health of hundreds of people daily. However, the condition of the hospital became poor and out of date. It needed an intense renovation.
When the information about the worse condition of the hospital reached Mr. Malik Riaz Hussain chairman of Bahria town and his son Ali Riaz Malik CEO of Bahria Town, they instantly decided to do something. So they set out to renovate and restore the hospital. They planned to renovate the building, starting from the emergency ward, as it is an important place in a hospital.
The emergency area of the hospital contains four hundred beds. The section that has been made new has forty beds. Still, there is work going on to restore more. The section is upgraded now with centralized air conditioners. All possible facilities are added to the emergency ward. There is a new ceiling and also new floors.
The restoration is made with high-quality products. The bed contains its own curtains to give patient privacy. There is also a patient monitor attached in the beds to check the vital signs of the patient in bed. There are also glove dispensers for offering clean operations. Four toilets consist of an emergency section.
The Bahria town will proceed with the renovation plans. They will be taking into account the measures by the Children’s hospital management. The maintenance practices need to be accepted for them to continue.
In the year 2018, the Bahria town had finished the building of Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, which is Karachi’s third-largest hospital. They built it in two months. Now the renovation of the hospital is another one of the milestones achieved by the company. It is accomplishing its goals through good plans and the will to do the right thing for the people.
